Review

Camellia Tea Room is located in Benicia! My mother and I visited this room together. My first impression was that it is more like a cafe that is trying to serve the weekday lunch crowd than an afternoon tea room. The decor is European/Italian style not frilly at all! Gentlemen would feel at home having a power lunch here.

My mom and I ordered the full tea. We were impressed with the selection of teas offered however, we were disappointed that the leaves were left in the pot.

The food was average but quite filling. There were four sandwiches, two scones, mock Devon cream. There is also a lunch menu that you can order from which includes quiche, soups, salads, and stuffed potatoes.

We received great service and enjoyed our visit! You can purchase china, loose tea and other gift items while you are there.

If you like a large selection of food and tea and prefer a modern tea room then you will enjoy visiting here!
