Review
This European style tea salon has recently opened in Old Sacramento in the downtown area! Serious tea lovers must visit this salon! The decor is quite sophisticated and art deco hip. Gentlemen will feel at home and might want to bring business clients in for a relaxing lunch! Internet access is provided.
The proprietors, Linda Harris & Maxine Shear are very knowledgable about tea. You won't want to miss the tea tasting lounge where you may sit at three different areas to taste and to be educated about quality tea.
I was impressed with the hearty fare that my husband ordered! He enjoyed the Earl's Gypsy Tea which included a large sandwich, soup and a plate of sweets! Ladies this is the perfect place to take the man in your life!
I enjoyed the full afternoon tea which consisted of Mushroom Quiche, crackers and brie, Turkey with Artichoke Spread, Chicken Waldorf Salad and Cucumber sandwiches. The cucumber sandwiches were made with butter which is the traditional English style. I do prefer a cream cheese/dill spread for cucumber sandwiches but enjoyed the other two flavors. The scones were my favorite and I received two with real English Devon Cream and jam. The assorted were desserts were tasty and the tea was outstanding. You may request that your tea be decanted!
You will be pampered and educated at this tea salon! If you want an outstanding lunch, traditional afternoon tea, tea tasting or quick trip to the tea bar then this is the place for you!!!
