Review
This is a well organized and spacious tea room. The gifts for sale are scattered throughout the rooms and a new gift shop has been opened in a separate room. You can purchase loose leaf tea to take home with you.
Let me say that this is an exceptional establishment. The food is quite good and you are given many choices of tea. The style is Victorian with the traditional three tiered plates of scones, desserts, and sandwiches served with unlimited pots of tea. You may also order the full tea with comes with extra items such as a salad and quiche.
The service is also quite good and the staff is very knowledgeable about the tea that they serve. Samples of tea are brought to your table and you are given information to help you decide on which flavor to try. A newsletter is also available which informs you of upcoming events such as a tea tasting.
The tea room has recently opened for two seatings on Sunday. You may reserve a table for 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM. The gift shop is open on Tuesdays 11 A.M.- 5 P.M.
Tea Experience Digest named this tea room as the Best Small City Tea Room in America and One of the 10 Best Tea Places in the United States in the Spring/Summer 2006 issue.
Be sure and visit this lovely and warm tea room. You will be pampered!!
